This week, Life Training Online is reviewing Why Your Life Sucks (and what you can do about it), by Alan Cohen, the fourteenth of fifty-two books in the 52 Personal Development Books in 52 Weeks series.

I have to say when I first started reading this book I was a little annoyed with Cohen’s anecdotes and style of writing. I guess I’m used to reading authors like Stephen Covey who have a very logical and straight-forward prose — which seems to be a better fit to my thought process. But as I read on I was really impressed with his insights and quite honestly, I began to enjoy his stories. Although it’s simple reading, he packs the book with plenty of advice on relationships, money, vocation/work, spirituality, creativity, personal empowerment and so on, that there’s enough for satisfy anyone’s personal-development appetite.

All in all I really liked this book. I’ve never read anything by Alan Cohen before, but I wouldn’t be opposed to checking out more of his books in the future.
