This week, Life Training Online is reviewing The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent: Living the Art of Allowing, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, the twentieth of fifty-two books in the 52 Personal Development Books in 52 Weeks series.

The second half of this book is centered around specific exercises one can use in order to raise their vibrational level. It’s actually a repeat of the ones I covered in my review on Ask and It is Given, except this time the authors focus more on the “journey” of these processes rather than the destination or end results.

The Action vs. the Emotional Journey

In every moment of our lives, we are experiencing two concurrent journeys: our Action Journey which is the awareness of time and space, and things already manifested (basically, what our physical senses perceive); and our Emotional Journey which is our vibrational response to this specific moment in time — from which all future manifestations and experiences are created.

What the authors want you to take from this is the understanding that the most important of these two journeys is the emotional one. The reason is, if you are aware of how you feel and at the same time you’re able to effect those feelings deliberately, then and only then will you have control of all future outcomes of your life experience. This is what they call Deliberate Creation.

On the flip side, if your main focus is on the Action Journey where you only observe and respond to things that are happening right now in your present moment experience, as well as allow your feelings to follow what you’re observing without making any effort to guide those feelings, then you won’t have any conscious control of your own life experience. In effect, you are merely reacting to whatever life throws at you. This is what Abraham-Hicks calls creating by default.

Our Thoughts and Creation

Every experience, every circumstance, every person that we meet — all that we live — is the result of what we’ve been thinking, pondering, observing, imagining about etc. We are literally thinking our lives into being.

According to the authors, 99 percent of every creation is already complete before we ever see it manifested. If this is true, then how do we know we’re on the right track? How do we know that what we are focusing our thoughts on is heading us towared what we desire to see manifested? Again, emotions are the compass we use to make sure we’re on the right track:

When you accept that you are, right now, in the process of creating things that will manifest into your experience, and you are deliberately guiding your thoughts to good-feeling ideas…your future manifested experience will be filled with things that will delight you as they unfold into your experience.

This is ultimately the whole goal of this book: To help you in becoming aware of that 99 percent that you cannot see — the unseen things (for now, that is) that you are in the process of creating.

Direct the thoughts you have to improve your present moment and not only will your now moment be full of joy, but the desired manifestations will take care of themselves.
