This week, Life Training Online is reviewing The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent: Living the Art of Allowing, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, the twentieth of fifty-two books in the 52 Personal Development Books in 52 Weeks series.
In typical sequel style, I thought The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent didn’t quite match up to the first (Ask and It is Given). It’s not that I didn’t enjoy reading this, I did. It’s just that much of this information in this book was a rehash of Ask and It is Given.
I really resonated with the concept of all of us having two identities, our tangible or physical self and our eternal self. Also, that our eternal self is what is in alignment with the Source of all things and as we learn to align our physical self with this eternal self, we will feel more alive, and truly happy. I’ve experienced this many times in my life. As I’ve come into alignment with this eternal side of myself, I have experienced this joy of living and true happiness.
Although the main concepts of this book could have been covered in a much less voluminous way, all in all it was still a good book. Again, if you haven’t yet read Ask and It is Given, I suggest you do so before taking this one on.
