This week, Life Training Online is reviewing Man’s Search for Meaning, by Victor Frankl, the thirteenth of fifty-two books in the 52 Personal Development Books in 52 Weeks series.

Man’s Search for Meaning has been a world-wide success, selling over 9 million copies and having been translated into 24 languages. In fact the Library of Congress has voted it one of America’s ten most influential books. It has also had a great influence on and is often quoted by many self-help authors including one of my favorite’s, Stephen Covey, author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Despite all of these accolades, Victor Frankl did not even think this book was a great achievement. Yet it continues to influence new generations and provide hope and meaning for all who read it. And that is what Frankl desires to pass on in this work — that life truly does have meaning for those who step back and seek it out.
